Circuit Court of Cook County Launches Online ePAY System for Adult Probation and Social Service Clients

Announcement, Press Release |

On Wednesday, the Circuit Court of Cook County is launching an online ePAY system for clients of the Adult Probation (APD) and Social Service (SSD) Departments. The online payment platform, created in partnership with the Illinois Office of the Treasurer, will make it easier for clients to make payments. It also will allow clients to track payment history and create personalized payment options, such as recurring payments, to assist with managing their finances.

The change affects the nearly 20,000 clients of APD and SSD who owe fees as part of their court cases. Clients will be able to make payments towards their fee obligations 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week by visiting the Court’s ePAY website  or calling an Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) hotline at 888-226-6071.

“We anticipate that the ePAY system will create cost savings for the Court while enhancing security through robust encryption and data protection strategies,” said Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans. “These enhancements will help to prevent fraud while ensuring secure transactions for our clients. The Court and its Departments also will gain access to additional analytics and reporting tools, which will help reduce administrative burdens and allow the Departments to focus on continuing to provide important supervision and support services.”
